An emotionally
drawn love story lies between the pages of Her Lover's World, combining
the erotic and the sublime, resulting in a story that will appeal to any
romance reader worth her salt. Her Lovers World is a winner that should
be added to your Ellora's Cave shopping cart as soon as possible. This
little ditty packs quite a punch.

Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot! From the beginning, I was glued to Anna's
story. I was drawn into Her Lover's World. I empathized with Anna; felt
her ecstasy and pain, and went through Onyx's struggle to decide what he
would do. Ms. Carrington tells of a love across time and worlds that
fate cannot deny. A story that any romance reader will truly enjoy and
want to read over and over.

This was a wonderful, passionate book. When I started it, I was not sure
if I was going to like it. I found that even if it was not the usual
books I read, it was a great, well-written book.

Spellbinding, mystical and otherworldly, Her Lover's World is a tempting
story of love crossing even the boundaries of time. Highly compelling I
read this story from start to finish without stopping. It seemed to call
to me and I enjoyed the sensuous way Ms. Carrington entwined the past
and future into the storyline. If you love fantasy and sensual pleasure
then this book is a definite read.

A blast of cold
air met Anna the second she entered her apartment.
“Dammit. I know I didn’t turn the air on.” She headed down the
hallway to the thermostat, surprised to find the needle stuck firmly
on sixty degrees. She checked the air conditioner. With the
temperature outside barely climbing to the low seventies, she
couldn’t imagine she would turn it on so early in the spring. “But I
know I didn’t turn it on.” Her brain began to hum. “Now, I really
think I’m going crazy.”
Toeing off her shoes, she headed into the kitchen. Before her lover
had joined her in the shower, she’d had plans for the day, but now,
her only goal was to force his hand, to bring him out of hiding and
meet him face to face. Whoever he was, he owed her that much.
She couldn’t imagine why he’d chosen her anyway. Of all the
apartments to enter, he picked hers. It didn’t make sense,
especially with Miss Henderson, Double D, living two doors down.
Hell, even Eliza Marsetti on the third floor had more attributes
than Anna did and she didn’t need to look in the mirror to be
reminded.
Though blessed with a trim figure and height most of her friends
envied, Anna had always wished for bigger breasts, a little more in
the ass department and even slightly wider hips. In her own opinion,
she looked like an unadorned landscape, nothing spectacular to see.
Muttering to herself, Anna leaned down to see her reflection in the
polished chrome toaster. Full lips. Wide, chocolate eyes and thick
auburn hair. Nothing special there, either, though she’d gotten
plenty of compliments on her eyes.
A door creaked in the background and Anna straightened, her ears
tuned toward the sound. Silence descended again, but uneasiness
settled around her shoulders like a familiar sweater.
She wasn’t alone.
Shivering, she headed down the hallway, her hands clenched into
fists to still their shakes. Though she’d left the door to her
bedroom opened, it was now only slight ajar. She widened the gap by
pressing against the wood and promptly froze.
The drawn shades blocked out the sunlight and everywhere she looked,
she saw candles. Hundreds of them. Scented candles that filled the
room with a heady fragrance.
Anna’s heart began to beat faster. Soft music filtered from an
unseen speaker, the sound dominating her senses. She swayed to the
soft violin and felt her eyes drifting closed.
“Dance with me, Anna.” The commanding voice welcomed her back to the
pleasure of the dream. Thickly muscled arms wrapped around her waist
from behind, drawing her close to his chest.
“Who are you?” Her voice came out a raspy whisper. She barely
recognized it as her own. She tried to turn around. She wanted, no,
she needed to see his face, but he embraced her tightly, preventing
any movement other than the simple swaying of their bodies.
“You’ll know soon enough. For now, just move with me.”
Powerless to do anything else, Anna succumbed, allowing her fantasy
to come to life. She shivered with anticipation. Something, she
wasn’t sure what, told her the fantasy would become a reality today.
She’d finally feel him inside her, touching her mind, body and soul.
Every nerve in her body tingled at the thought. And her heart
reached out to his, needing to know if there was something more,
something besides just sex that he wanted from her.

People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine
when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is
revealed only if there is
a light within.
