Rachel Carrington is a little bit Jodi Picoult and a little bit
Nicholas Sparks all rolled into one astonishing author.
FAR

Rachel Carrington a
successful business woman and multi-published author. She is the
ideal independent woman we all want to be. Single and with a
full schedule, she prefers to keep her affairs casual and not
have the excess emotional baggage that normally comes with the
relationship. Motivated, adventurous, and with a wicked sense of
humor, she brings us stories we not only dive into but hate to
see end..
Rachel writes dark paranormal and magical fantasies mixed with
wizards, witches, and elves. From mystical worlds to the dark
and dangerous corners of other universes, her books take you
outside the bounds of reality and into the world where your
imagination can take flight.

I
currently write for Red Sage Publishing, Ellora's Cave, Samhain
Publishing, Loose-Id, and Forbidden Publications.
I'm also the editor of Vintage Romance Publishing, a publisher
specializing in nostalgic romances, heart-warming non-fiction, and
romantic poetry. You can visit Vintage Romance on the web at
www.vrpublishing.com.
A former career paralegal, I
live outside of Charleston, South Carolina and am living my dream by
being able to write and work with publishing on a full-time basis.

What is your favorite
color?
Red because it's spicy.
What is your favorite quote?
This is always a tough question for me because I have favorite
quotes for each subject. This is my favorite for beauty: People are like
stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but
when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is
a light within.
~ Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
But I have favorites for success, motivation, determination, loss,
money, love, etc. And it would take up waaay too much space to list them
all.
What is your favorite pastime?
I don't just have one. I love to cross-stitch, go to movies, put
jigsaw puzzles together, curl up on the sofa with a good book, watch a
good movie at home, go out with my friends, shop for anything from home
decor to clothes, and surf the net.
What music do you listen to?
A
little bit of everything depending on what type of mood I'm in. Some of
my favorite artists are: Daniel Bedingfield, Pussycat Dolls, Garth
Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Tamela Mann, Uncle Kracker, Joe, and Avant.
What is your favorite kind of movies?
Romantic comedies like The Wedding Date or high-powered science
fiction like Independence Day.
What books do you like to read?
Paranormal romance and non-fiction.
What are you reading now?
A New You--Words to Soothe the Mind, Body, and Spirit by
Catherine Galasso-Vigorito.
What are your favorite scenes to write?
Romantic love scenes—the ones where the hero/heroine says that one
line which sticks with the reader long after the last few words of the
book are read.
What advice can your give for an aspiring writer?
Remember that a rejection of your work is not a rejection of you.
Take that rejection as a challenge to make your work shine and yourself
a better author. If you really want to be a writer, you have to do what
it takes to improve your abilities, be willing to learn, be willing to
change, and most of all, be willing to devote the time it takes to write
every day.
